THE Parade!

Monday, November 28th, was Panama’s Independence Day from Spain. People came from all over, and more people came as the day progressed. The parade consisted mainly of bands, and started around 10 in the morning, and lasted till…10 at night!

Our street became a parking lot, and we could see the activities from the balcony.

That night, when the parade was still going, we went down to the square and had some “fair food”. Seasoned meat on a kabob, for 35 cents each. They grilled them over a metal 5 gallon bucket, and their light was made from a pop can.
