When Tiffany and Kristen were here, we went hiking at Alto Quiel, and liked it so much that we decided to do it again with our most recent guests.
This time however, we did it without a guide. Instead of Oscar picking us up in his van and driving directly there, our transportation consisted of waiting for a couple buses:
It was a tad windy, so we told Natasha to hold onto her hat. She took her job very seriously:
We arrived at the hiking trail and set off, after paying the $3 entrance fee. Lynette wore her toe shoes. She said they were perfect for the type of hiking we did. I still can’t quite get used to seeing…toes…in the form of shoes though. ;)
Remember the Quetzals that we heard last time, but never saw? This time, we saw one!!
The waterfall was a very nice resting place once we arrived, and Natasha was thrilled to get out of the mei tai and splash in some “agua”. (Yep, she has picked up a few words of Spanish, and when she has one she likes, she won’t use the English equivalent!)
